Tim Wright has an interesting post on Examiner.com about the top five social networking sites those of older generations should take a peek at in an attempt to understand and engage with Generation Y. Simply taking one hour to look at these social networks, Wright argues, "will enhance your communication and so your work relationship with those Gen-Y members."

While Facebook or Twitter might come to the mind of many as the being at the top of the five on the list, neither site made the cut. Here's the list:

  1. Brazencareerist.com
  2. 20somethings.ning.com
  3. My.BarackObama.com
  4. myYearbook.com
  5. coolpeoplecare.org

Wright follows up that post with another about engaging employees, no matter what their generation.
